Prepare For Reach 2016 With This Great Resource

2016 HOPE Youth Corps registration now open

Before you choose a program, read the description carefully. Do not pick a trip based on the location only. Different programs will appeal to different tastes and personalities. The service activities vary. Prices differ depending on the location, length and extra security measures we have to take in certain places, such as Kenya.

We are convinced that there are many new and fresh ideas that would increase Christian outreach and ministry effectiveness, but may never be fleshed out because they are “not the way we have always done things”. We want to create an environment to share ideas – an experimental breeding ground if you will - to bring those great ideas out in the open.

SW Florida Becomes 100th HOPEww Chapter

By Mark Whitney -
Almost a year and a half ago, our congregation in Southwest Florida put together a service team. Our mission was to serve those in our local community with the conviction that when we’re serving the poor, we are serving Jesus.

Our motivation comes from Matthew 25: 35-36, 40:

Helping our teens become Christians

Toolbox is a teaching series aimed to help believers tackle challenging life-situations or doctrines. Each episode hosts an evangelist, elder, or teacher sharing their thoughts about a certain topic they understand well.

In case you missed it...another story of suffering for Christ

When Nalini, a sister in Chennai, decided to start following Jesus she immediately faced serious persecution from her father. He kicked her out of the house, beat publicly in front of 300 people, handed her to the police, and continued to cause her distress for three years. By God’s grace, she persevered and she shared her story with ICOC HotNews.

Suffering for Christ

Two brothers in Bangalore learned what it means to suffer for the name of Christ after sharing their faith one afternoon. After evangelizing to a mysterious man, a group of men surrounded them, beat them publicly, and then allowed the police to arrest and imprison them under false accusations. Both brothers lived to tell the tale, and one of them, Prem, shared the story with ICOC HotNews.

HOPEww Responds To U.S. Storms

Severe storms hit the South, Southwest and Midwest over the Christmas holiday weekend, unleashing floods and tornadoes that killed at least 43 people, flattened buildings and snarled transportation for millions during a busy travel time.

In Missouri, emergency workers have evacuated residents from their homes and conducted dozens of water rescues on Sunday. At least, eight people had been killed and numerous roadways had been closed. Our partner church in St. Louis, The Gateway City Church, advised that all church members have been accounted for and no emergent needs have been reported.
