Good news from Maseru, Lesotho

On the 21st of September 2012, over 80 disciples from South Africa and Botswana(all single) went on a missionary journey to Maseru, Lesotho. The purpose of this trip was to spread the word of God in that nation and to strengthen the church.

The church in Maseru only has a membership of 9 people, and had never hosted so many disciples from outside their home nation before. But God rewarded the faith of his people by granting us an amazing experience. We started on Saturday with an awesome devotional and a powerful message. The singles were urged to concentrate on the reason why we had gone there in the first place(that is, to save the lost). After our devotional, we divided ourselves up into different groups and formed bible discussion groups. We held bible discussions all over Maseru and in some of the villages on  its outskirts. The response was completely amazing. One bible discussion group had 14 visitors attending!

On Sunday, the 23rd of September, the church service was electric. There was hardly any space left in the hall. There were at least 145 people in attendance, the biggest church service that that little church ever hosted. The responses were positive, and many of our visitors studied the bible immediately after church. Then on Monday morning we concluded our time together with a baptism. A sister called Naledi from Botwana was baptised into Christ.

Our time in Lesotho will live long in our memories as one of the best experiences we have ever had. To God be the glory.
