HOUSTON ADDS NEW LEAD EVANGELIST, HONORS LOCAL FIRE FIGHTERS.
Houston, Texas
Houston is the energy capital of the world, and the church is going from strength to strength. Here is latest news...
"Greetings from Houston, Texas where God has truly been at work in recent months. After a time of much prayer and fasting, Houston hired Doug and Angela Wens to move to Houston and serve as Lead Evangelist and Women’s Ministry Leader in June, and God has been working in a powerful way since then.
The Church recently honored First responders in the Houston area with a pair of early September events. On September 1, volunteers from Hope Worldwide partnered with the American Red Cross and the University of Houston for a Fire Awareness day held before the University of Houston’s football game. Hundreds of families were reached by Hope volunteers and the National Fire Chief was in attendance for the event and was amazed by what Hope accomplished. The following Sunday on September 9, many first responders were honored including EMTs, Fire fighters, Policemen, and more. The Church was encouraged by all 865 in attendance, but one special attendee was the Sheriff of Harris County, Adrian Garcia. It is great to see God using the Church to impact His communities.
Another recent blessing for the Church came at our August 12 Worship Service, when the Church witnessed four Baptisms in one day. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen that many baptisms in one day in Houston, and it was a very encouraging Sunday.
The Houston church is on the move. Please be praying for us!
