INDIA: Bidar Church of 84 Had 700 in Attendance

By tat01 - Posted on 14 May 2012

The Bidar Church was planted five years ago in South-Central India. Since 2007, the church has grown in membership from its orginial team of eight disciples to now eighty-four disciples. By the grace of God this group of brothers and sisters saw several hundred visitors come their fifth-anniversary Sunday service on April 15th.

As the fifth anniversary drew near, the church decided to step out on faith and booked the largest auditorium in Bidar (shown above), one which seats over 700 people. Once plans were made they began to reach out from house to house and across the city. Disciples in the Bangalore church also helped the effort by paying for banners, invitation cards, etc. In the earlier days the mission team had prayed to God and asked him to let them fill this auditorium some day. On April 15th, God blessed powerfully. The entire hall was packed!

Later, one of the visitors called up the church leader and offered to help raise funds for the construction of a church building. Amen.
