Tony and Mayowa were going through a difficult time in their marriage and contemplating having a divorce. They shared their situation with a friend of theirs who is a disciple in the South-East ministry of the London church. Their friend referred them to two disciples Remi and Helen for counseling (they are trainee marriage counsellors). They got with them and had six weeks of sessions to help them through their situation.

One of the greatest blessings and joys of a unified church is seeing parents of disciples getting baptized. 2004 was the last time a parent of a disciple was baptized, but since the unity we have seen 6 parents getting baptized, and many more are visiting the church or studying. Obviously the change is in the faith of the disciples. They’re proud of the church and have gained greater faith and vision in inviting their loved ones.

This is one of the greatest harvests of a unified church.

Yougjin Kim and Kungeh An fell away in 2004. They had met and married in the church and God had blessed them with children and a thriving restaurant business. However, because business went so well they opened on Sundays and started compromising in their commitment to God. Their greed eventually led to their downfall. Although they were convinced they could be successful and happy without God, their life in time started to take a downward turn.

Thanks for all the concerns and prayers for China and the Chinese disciples. While there are no disciples or their families hurt in this terrible earthquake, we are sobered by the tens and thousands who perished.

Pacific School of Ministry (Formerly the Los Angeles School of Ministry)

We are excited to announce details for the next session of our School of Ministry. We have recently decided to rename the school as a reflection of our desire to see more students participate from congregations outside of the Los Angeles area. Our mission is to provide ongoing teaching and training for the paid ministry staff in our fellowship of churches. We also welcome interested individuals not in the full-time ministry to attend.
