Kuala LumpurFrankie Choy is a brother from the Mandarin Chinese speaking Ministry in the KL Church who lives a simple life. He has been Christian for 15yrs. He was born with a rare sickness called “Premature Aging” which causes him to age faster than other people. Very often he has to visit hospitals and clinics for check ups and to get medication for his condition. Despite all this, he has never used it as an excuse to not live as a disciple of Jesus. In fact, over his 15 years of being a Christian, he has helped 15 people to be baptized, one of them being his mother.

David Laing sent us this story from South Carolina.  It's a great story of campus revival and faith.  We told the story of Columbia's great special contribution a few days ago, now read on about the campus victories.  Great photos of the ministry (L) 2005 and (R) 2008.

The fires of revival are burning on campuses across our country.  Some campuses are multiplying like never before.  This is an exciting time to be in campus ministry.  To encourage and unite us further, we are inviting all Campus Ministers and Interns to a meeting in Baton Rouge on Thursday, July 3rd, at 2pm before the Intn'l Campus Conference for a time of teaching and fellowship.  Be sure to make your arrangements...

columbia, South CarolinaOnce again God blessed the Columbia church in an amazing way last Sunday as we celebrated our 2008 Missions contribution. With a goal of $145,000, so far we have collected over $173,000 for support of churches in Africa, the Caribbean and a new church planting right here in South Carolina!

Thanks for all the concerns and prayers for China and the Chinese disciples.  It has been more than a week since the 7.8 Earthquake in Sichuan province.  More than 40,000 have perished, and millions are homeless.  The situation has been exacerbated by the mountainous region where many access roads to the disaster-struck towns have been cut off by falling boulders and rocks, which have in turn, formed new massive walls that are diverting rivers into lakes whose rising water level are threatening to flood the already ravaged towns and villages.
